Mission & Focus

Our mission is to generate superior risk adjusted returns for our investors by making venture capital investments in orphaned public microcaps.

Orphaned Public Microcap Focus
Roaring Fork focuses on exploiting an underserved and highly inefficient sector of the equity capital spectrum – orphaned microcaps. Roaring Fork defines orphaned microcaps as public companies with market capitalizations of $140 million or less that have been neglected by the financial community.

Key Investment Tactics
The principals employ several proven private equity investment tactics to optimize the risk adjusted return from the investment portfolio. These include:

Diversification
Roaring Fork will make privately negotiated investments in a portfolio of approximately 15 orphaned public microcap companies. The size of the average investment will be $1.5 to $2.0 million.
Later Stage Focus
The Partnership focuses on orphaned public microcaps whose business models have been tangibly demonstrated, are generating revenue, and are at a fundamental inflection point in their business plan. The plan is to invest in companies that are cash flow positive or expect to become so within 12 months based on Roaring Fork’s capital infusion and management’s execution of the business plan.
Impact Investing
The Fund typically obtains a material ownership percentage of 5% or more in each portfolio company so that each investment has the potential to make a significant impact on the overall return of the portfolio.
